Text-based AI companion and AI girlfriend apps, including ones that allow romantic and explicit conversation between adults. I do not cover image or video generators, tools built to alter photographs of real people, anything that uses a real person without their consent, or anything involving minors in any form. How the rankings are decided
Every app goes through the same two-week method, and the stars in a review come from that score and nothing else. Where a list puts an app also depends on whether you can actually start today: a working free tier or trial, a published price and an account I can send you straight to. Apps I have a partnership with can appear higher in a list for that reason, never because of their rating.
What is never for sale
- Stars and verdicts.
- Removing a criticism.
- A paid review dressed up as an independent one.
Anything sponsored is labelled as sponsored, plainly, at the top.
