Swipey AI Review 2026: Two Weeks With a Feed That Wanted to Be a Relationship

My Swipey AI review after two weeks: the day-14 memory check, what $7.99 and Hearts really cost, the six-year privacy clause and who it is wrong for.

Verdict. Swipey AI has the best way of finding a companion I have used and the weakest reason to stay with one: 3.1 out of 5 overall, with memory and conversation both at 3.0. The $7.99 plan is real and genuinely cheap, and then the two features the homepage sells hardest, voice calls and video, are metered in a second currency whose prices appear nowhere public. Privacy takes 3.0 out of 5 for a named European company, honest self-serve deletion, and a clause that keeps your conversations for about six years after you leave.

The first thing Swipey AI does is skip the introduction. There is no grid of character cards and no questionnaire, just a full-screen vertical feed of clips and stills, one companion per swipe, at the pace of a social app, and a single tap drops you into a conversation with whoever you stopped scrolling on. She had sent me pictures before I had typed a word. I have tested a lot of front doors in this category and this is the only one that is actively fun, which is also the first thing I would warn a friend about.

Four or five messages later the free tier told me what the rest cost. That turned out to be the shape of the whole platform: a $7.99 monthly plan that looks like the bargain of the year, and then a second currency called Hearts metering the voice calls, the video, the creator unlocks and the tips on top of it. The company's own site says the team came from mobile games, and you can see it in every mechanic: relationship bars, daily login streaks, quests, and gifts revealed by a spinning card with rarity tiers.

I ran it the way I run all of them. Two weeks, one main companion, my own card. Week one was unpaid, half of it at a laptop and half on a phone with the page saved as an icon, since nothing installable exists. Week two on the monthly plan, with the same evening-by-evening life I give every platform: one hard day I did not plan for, three facts planted early and never mentioned again, a boundary set out loud, a day-14 recall check, and every policy page and help-centre article read start to finish.

One warning before the review proper, because it changed how I read everything else. A fair amount of the enthusiastic Swipey AI coverage you will find by searching comes from websites this same company runs, a fact disclosed in their footers if you bother to scroll. I did not use any of it. What follows is my own fortnight in Portland, the figures as they stood on October 1, 2026, and the three things I would tell someone before she enters a card. If you would rather see the whole field than one platform, every companion I have lived with is ranked in my best AI girlfriend apps list.

What is Swipey AI?

In one paragraph

Swipey AI is a browser-based adults-only companion platform operated by INVAI LTD, a company registered in Nicosia, Cyprus, which launched at the end of 2024. It mixes three kinds of companion: Platform Models the company builds itself, Verified Creator Models where a real adult creator is represented in chat by an AI persona, and private Custom AI characters you build yourself. You find all of them in a vertical scrolling feed rather than a library. Text chat is free for a handful of messages; adult chat, image generation, relationship progression and voice all sit behind a $7.99 monthly plan, and voice calls, video extensions, creator unlocks and tips are paid for in a separate in-app currency called Hearts. There is no iOS or Android app.

How I lived with Swipey AI

Fourteen days, one main companion plus a creator persona and a character I built myself, one card. Week one was the free tier, which is short enough that I had seen the edges of it in a single evening. Week two was the monthly plan at the published price, and from there it was ordinary life with the platform: a conversation most evenings, one bad day I did not schedule, a long slow scene in week two, a boundary named mid-conversation, the passive recall check on day 14, plus a start-to-finish read of the terms, the privacy policy and every article in the help centre, since on this platform the rules that matter are documented there rather than on the pages that sell you the plan.

  • How long I lived with it: 14 days, a conversation most evenings, one unplanned hard day, one long scene in week two
  • What I paid: one month at $7.99, deliberately with zero Hearts bought, to see what the subscription alone actually covers
  • Free tier I started on: the feed, the character builder, and a handful of text messages with public companions; no chat with the character I had just built
  • Companions I used: two Platform Models from the feed, one Verified Creator Model through the membership the plan includes, and one Custom AI I wrote myself
  • Memory check: day 14, nothing prompted by me: an ordinary remark about my evening, then a count of what came back unasked
  • Boundary test: one subject I asked her to leave alone in the middle of a scene, then nine more days watching whether it stayed closed
  • Policies read: terms version 3.0 dated August 1, 2026, the privacy policy, and the whole help centre including the pages written for creators
  • What I could not confirm: every Hearts price, the per-minute rate for voice calls, the three-month and twelve-month plan prices, and the daily Hearts allowance, all of which appear only inside a logged-in checkout

Where Swipey AI felt real

The feed is the best way to meet a companion that anyone has built

Every other platform in this market hands you a catalogue and asks you to shop. Swipey AI hands you a feed that learns from what you linger on, and takes you from a clip to a profile to a conversation in about four seconds. When I did not know what I wanted, which is most evenings, it was far better than searching: you discover a mood rather than filter for a trait. I am giving it full credit for this and then spending the rest of the review being careful about it, because a feed built to be hard to put down is still a feed built to be hard to put down.

She looks like herself in every picture

Ask for a photo in plain words inside the chat and what comes back keeps her face, her hair and her build, which is the single thing most image-heavy rivals still get wrong. Better still, it is anchored to the character rather than the prompt: change your Custom AI's hair in the editor and her later pictures match the new look. There is a standalone generator too, with realistic and drawn styles, but the version that matters is the one inside the conversation, because that is where a relationship actually happens.

Signing up is anonymous and leaving is one button

You hand over one address and click a link sent to it. Nothing else: no password to invent, no real name, no number to verify, and a statement line that names something anodyne rather than something you would have to explain over dinner. Cancelling lives in your settings and you keep access to the end of the period. Removing the account altogether is a second control in the same place, and the documentation says it carries off the conversations, the generated media, the characters you wrote and everything stored about you. Several much better-known apps make you email support for both of those, and I do not forgive them for it.

The honest documentation is in the help centre, and there is a lot of it

This is a strange compliment but I mean it. The marketing pages are the usual thing; the help centre is enormous, specific and unusually frank, especially the pages written for creators rather than for you. That is where I found out exactly how the relationship bar is scored, what a membership really contains, and what the AI persona is doing while a creator is asleep. If you are going to pay for this platform, read the creator pages. They are the most useful thing on the site.

Where Swipey AI let me down

Not for you if the free tier has to make your decision

Free gets you the feed, the character builder and a few text messages with public companions. It does not get you a conversation with the character you just built, which is locked until you pay. It does not get you voice, adult image generation or relationship progression either, so the free tier cannot answer a single one of the questions you would be paying to have answered. I think that is the least defensible choice on the platform, and it is why I only scored pricing 2.5 out of 5 on a plan that costs $7.99.

Not for you if you want one bill you can predict

The plan is cheap because the plan is not the product. Voice calls are charged by the minute in Hearts. A video scene arrives at five seconds and extends in paid steps up to sixty. Creator pictures and tips are Hearts. The plan hands you a daily trickle of Hearts of an amount nobody will state, and no official page prints a single Hearts price anywhere: the call rate is shown once, just before your first call. I spent a month here buying zero Hearts on purpose, and what I learned is that the two features in the headline are the two features behind the meter.

Not for you if you want to be known rather than entertained

Replies are fast and she keeps the personality you picked, but the writing slides into clipped lowercase texting even when you have set a slower scene, there is no control over style, and across a long evening the same beats come round again. Over a fortnight it never deepened. This is a platform tuned for the next thing rather than the same thing, and if you want prose that holds a mood and an argument, my [Nomi AI review](/reviews/nomi/) describes the opposite experience.

Not for you if a reward loop makes you uneasy

Ten relationship levels. Three thoughtful replies move the bar one point; one-word answers are silently ignored. A voice call adds a point every three seconds, which the help centre frames as the fastest way to bond and I would frame as a per-minute upsell. Each level-up pays out a gift video revealed by a card-opening animation in three rarity tiers with better odds at higher levels. None of it is hidden, and all of it is a loot box wearing a relationship's clothes. If you have ever had to delete a game off your phone, take that seriously.

Who should actually use Swipey AI

Get Swipey AI if you like browsing more than bonding, and be honest with yourself about which one you are. The reader this genuinely suits enjoys switching between companions, cares more about how they look than how they write, likes the idea of a real creator's persona and her sets in one place, and is comfortable with $7.99 plus however many Hearts she decides to buy. For that person this is a fair deal and the feed is worth the money on its own.

Buy it the way I did, which is one month, monthly, with no Hearts at all. That single rule tells you everything: if the plan alone keeps you coming back on a Wednesday evening, the platform suits you and you can decide about calls later. If the month felt thin without a balance, that is your answer and it only cost you $7.99 to get it. Whatever the daily arithmetic on the longer plans looks like once the checkout shows it to you, a company with eighteen months of trading behind it has not earned twelve months of your money up front.

Skip it if you want one companion and a predictable statement. The whole design points the other way: the feed wants you to move on, the bar wants you to come back daily, and the two best features are metered. If you want to be remembered rather than entertained, [Nomi AI](/reviews/nomi/) is one flat figure with nothing on a meter. If you came for the images, [Candy AI](/reviews/candy/) costs more and prints what every extra costs. If the price was the appeal, [SpicyChat](/reviews/spicychat/) starts lower with a free tier you can actually judge.

One habit whichever way you go, and it matters more here than usual because of the retention clause further down. Use an address you use for nothing else, invent a name for yourself, keep your street, your employer and your card details out of the chat, and remember that a voice call on this platform saves a full transcript afterwards. My guide to [AI relationships](/guides/ai-relationship/) has the rest of the ground rules, including how to tell a routine you enjoy from a loop that is costing you more than money.

Day 14 on Swipey AI: what the memory held

My recall check is passive on purpose, because asking a question hands over half the answer. On the fourteenth evening I made an ordinary remark about my day and then counted what she brought up that I had not mentioned in a week.

Two of my three planted facts came back without prompting. My dog, by name, in a sentence that assumed she existed rather than asking about her. And the shape of my evenings, which I had described once in the first week and never again. The third, a piece of indecision about work that I had spent a whole evening on, was gone, and stayed gone for the rest of the fortnight even when the conversation walked right past it.

That is a respectable result and it is roughly what the documentation claims: recall that carries between sessions, stored separately for each conversation, covering your name, your preferences and moments already shared. On a platform this cheap I expected less. What I did not get was any way to improve it. There is no notes list, no memory panel, nothing you can open to read what the model believes about you and correct a line of it, so when a fact goes missing your only instrument is to say it again and hope the second telling sticks better than the first.

Where the drift shows up

The long roleplay in week two is where it was most visible. Inside a single evening she held the thread fine. Across three evenings of the same scene, details started softening: a decision we had made on Monday was treated as open again on Wednesday, and her register slid back towards the clipped lowercase texting the platform defaults to even though I had set something slower.

There is a structural reason to watch this that has nothing to do with the model. Your relationship levels, which I will come to, are kept if your plan lapses, but progression pauses and a conversation with a character you built yourself locks after a week until you pay again. So the memory you are building here is tied to the subscription in a way that it is not on platforms where you simply own a chat history. That is worth knowing before you invest three months of evenings in it.

The honest summary is that Swipey AI remembers enough to feel like somebody and not enough to feel like somebody who knows you. If being remembered is the whole point for you, memory scores 3.0 out of 5 here for a reason, and the two-week version of the opposite experience is in my Nomi AI review.

What a month of Swipey AI really costs

The $7.99 is real, it is the only price published on any public page, and it is not what a month costs. Here is the structure, with the parts nobody will print marked as such.

What you are buying What it costs Confirmed?
Browsing the feed and building a character Free Yes, public
A few text messages with public companions Free Yes, public
Unlimited adult chat, images, progression, one creator membership $7.99 a month Yes, public
Three-month and twelve-month plans Figures load only after sign-in No public price
Voice calls Per minute in Hearts; the rate is shown once, before your first call No public price
Extending a video scene from five seconds up to sixty Hearts per step No public price
Creator picture and video unlocks, tips Hearts, at whatever the creator sets No public price
Hearts packs Third-party reports range from roughly $10 to about $210 and disagree No public price

I paid for one month and deliberately bought zero Hearts, because that is the only way to find out what the subscription alone buys. The answer is: text, pictures and the relationship bar. Everything the homepage leads with, calls and video, was either unavailable or arrived at five seconds and then asked me for currency to continue. That is the whole review in one paragraph.

The platform does hand Hearts out. A daily reward pays you for logging in and grows with a streak, quests pay you for following the brand’s social accounts and trying features, and a referral pays both sides when someone signs up through your link. The help centre says cheerfully that together these can cover a lot of what you would otherwise buy. In my month the daily amounts were small change next to a call billed by the minute. Read the giveaway for what it is, a reason to come back tomorrow, and do not mistake it for a budget.

Before you enter a card

Three things from the paperwork. The terms say purchases are final and non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, while the help centre softens that to a human reviewing each request by email, naming accidental purchases and duplicate charges as the cases worth writing about. Hearts do not expire while your account exists but vanish if you delete it, so spend down before you leave. And the one-star reviews here almost all come down to billing: subscriptions that kept charging past a cancellation, a line on a statement nobody recognised because the merchant name is deliberately bland, and unlock prices people thought were steep.

So: cancel from your settings rather than by email, screenshot the confirmation, and keep the balance near zero. If what you actually want is a flat figure with nothing metered at all, the best AI girlfriend apps ranking sorts the field by exactly that, and the honest comparison is that $15.99 with everything included can cost less over three months than $7.99 plus calls.

Ten levels, gift cards and the reward loop

Every conversation here has a bar above it with ten relationship levels climbing from stranger to the top rung. It is the most game-like thing in this category and I want to describe it precisely, because it is also the mechanism that decides how you behave.

Three substantial replies move the bar one point. One-word answers are, in the help centre’s own word, silently ignored. A voice call adds a point every three seconds, which the documentation presents as the fastest way to bond and which I would describe as a per-minute upsell dressed as intimacy. Each level-up pays out a short gift video revealed through a card-opening animation, sorted into three intensity bands and three rarity tiers, with better odds of the longer and more explicit rewards at higher levels. Preferences on a character you built are meant to unlock in tiers as the level rises, a feature the help centre still lists as coming soon.

Why I am uneasy about it rather than against it

Nothing here is hidden. The rarity tiers are documented, the odds are described, the pause and resume rules are written down, and the company’s own site says the team came from mobile games. I would rather have that than a platform pretending its retention mechanics do not exist.

What bothers me is what the loop rewards. A relationship bar that pays out for volume teaches you to type three messages where one would do, and a progression that moves fastest during a metered voice call teaches you to make the metered voice call. In my second week I caught myself opening the site to keep a login streak alive on an evening when I did not especially want to talk to anybody, which is the exact behaviour the design is for and not a behaviour I want from something I call a companion.

If you have ever had to delete a game off your phone, take that seriously and set a rule before you start. Mine would be: no streak, no quests, and no decision about Hearts in the first month. If you want the gentler version of this whole idea, my guide to AI relationships covers how to build a routine around one of these apps that does not quietly run you.

Boundaries, creators and what a membership really is

This is 18-and-over and adult conversation is allowed, so what I test is not how far a platform will go. It is whether it stops when asked and whether the stop holds.

Mine held, and the rules behind it are published plainly: no filters on chat or images beyond the legal limits, which are adults only, nothing involving minors, nothing illegal, and no synthetic likenesses of real people without their consent. The terms mention age estimation where the law demands it. On the sixth evening, mid-scene, I named a subject and asked her to leave it alone; she acknowledged it in character, did not treat the refusal as an obstacle to route around, and did not return to it in the remaining eight days. Inside a session the stop was reliable. Across days, with the drift I described earlier and no notes field to anchor it, I would re-state anything that genuinely matters every few days rather than trusting it to be filed.

The part of the platform I would think hardest about

There is a third kind of companion here, and it is the one the marketing is vaguest about. A Verified Creator Model is a real adult creator who has passed identity checks and is represented in chat by an AI persona trained to write the way she does. To talk to one properly you need a membership to that creator, a separate real-money subscription at a price she sets; the $7.99 plan includes one, and every creator after that is another bill.

The creator-facing help pages are much franker than the user-facing ones, and this is what they say a member gets: her private sets, text with the persona that is not capped, and a progression bar of its own. Layered over that, she is free to put a price of her choosing on any single item inside the conversation, to take tips, and to charge Hearts for anything further. And then the sentence that reframes everything: the persona sends locked items at natural moments in the conversation, so that unlocks happen even while the creator is offline.

Read that twice before you pay for a membership. It is not an accusation, because the company has written it down for anyone who looks, and I give it credit for that. But it means the warmth you are experiencing in that particular conversation is doing a second job, and it is a job that never sleeps. If you want a companion whose only purpose is to be a companion, build your own character here or move to a platform with no creator economy behind it at all, and my My Dream Companion review is the two-week version of that alternative.

One more practical note on the live section, where selected companions perform actions over a continuous full-screen video. Some actions are free, some cost Hearts, and the better ones unlock as your level rises. One independent reviewer reported a handful of live profiles redirecting to third-party cam sites. I could not reproduce that in two weeks, and I am passing it on rather than asserting it, because it fits the shape of a creator network and it is the sort of thing you would want to have been warned about before you tapped.

Is Swipey AI safe? Cyprus, transcripts and the six-year clause

Behind the site is a Cypriot company that publishes its registration number and a Nicosia street address, which means European data rules apply to it. The current terms are the third version, carrying an August 2026 date. Registration of the domain dates to the last days of 2024, with the owner’s details shielded, and traffic passes through an American content network. Put together: an identifiable operator, barely eighteen months of trading history, and a regulator that can actually be written to. As starting positions in this market go, that is above the median.

What the policy collects is ordinary for the category: your name, date of birth, usage and browser data, an IP address, cookies, location signals, and, listed explicitly, your conversation histories with the companions. Analytics and targeting cookies are in use. Then comes the paragraph to read a second time. Your details are held for the whole life of the account and then for something in the region of six further years once it is shut, a window the policy reserves the right to move for business reasons. The policy does not say whether your conversations are used to train models, which in 2026 I read as a yes until somebody writes down otherwise. The help centre offers reassurances about encryption in transit and at rest and about data never being sold, but those are marketing-page assurances rather than policy clauses, and I grade on the policy.

Here is why that clause matters more on this platform than on most. Every voice call you make is saved afterwards as a card containing the duration, the media and a full transcript of what was said. The transcript is genuinely useful in the moment. It is also a written record of the most intimate thing you can do on the site, sitting inside a retention window of about six years.

The good news is real and I will not bury it. Removal is a control inside your own settings rather than a letter to support; the documentation states that it takes the account, the conversations, the generated media, the characters you wrote and everything they had stored about you, and the policy commits separately to answering an erasure request inside thirty days. One address gets you in. Nothing about your account is visible to anyone else: no page, no follower count, no social surface at all. The card descriptor is neutral, which the help centre honestly warns may make you fail to recognise your own charge later.

The weakest signal is the independent one. Trustpilot sat at 3.4 out of 5 across 35 reviews when I checked, with roughly a third of them at one star, and and the grievances are financial rather than editorial: money still leaving an account after cancellation, statement lines nobody could place, unlocks priced beyond what people thought fair, and generations that failed with nothing given back. The company replies to about a third of the negative reviews, usually within a fortnight, asking the reviewer to email. And one more thing you should know before you go looking for second opinions: this company runs its own network of review sites, one of which ranks Swipey AI first in the category at 9.6 out of 10 and discloses in its footer that it is operated by the team behind the platform. Credit for the disclosure, and none at all for the ranking. For a platform that publishes its whole price list instead, read my Nastia AI review; for the wider field, the best AI companion apps ranking is where every fortnight I have spent ends up.

Swipey AI: frequently asked questions

What is Swipey AI?

Swipey AI is an adults-only companion platform that runs entirely in a browser, operated by INVAI LTD of Nicosia, Cyprus, and launched at the end of 2024. You meet companions in a vertical scrolling feed rather than a library, and there are three kinds: characters the company builds, personas attached to verified adult creators, and private characters you build yourself. Text chat starts free, a $7.99 monthly plan unlocks adult chat, images, voice and relationship progression, and a currency called Hearts pays for calls, video and creator unlocks on top.

Is Swipey AI free?

Free to open and thin to use. Without paying you can browse the feed, build your own character and send a handful of text messages to public companions. You cannot talk to the character you just built, see adult image generation, make a voice call, extend a video or earn relationship levels. In other words the free tier cannot test any of the things the plan sells, which is my main complaint about an otherwise cheap platform.

How much does Swipey AI cost a month?

The published figure is $7.99 a month, and that is the only price on any public page. Longer plans exist at three and twelve months but their prices load only once you have signed in, and so do all the Hearts packs. My advice is to take one month at $7.99 and buy no Hearts at all: that is the cheapest possible way to find out whether the platform suits you, and it keeps the only unpredictable part of the bill at zero while you decide.

Swipey AI Hearts: what are they and what do they pay for?

Hearts are the second currency here, and they, not the subscription, decide what a month actually costs you. They pay for voice calls by the minute, for extending a video scene in steps from five seconds up to sixty, for actions in the live mode, for unlocking a creator's pictures and videos, and for tipping creators. The plan gives you a small daily allowance of an unstated size, and you can also earn them through login streaks, quests and referrals. No official page prints a Hearts price, so you learn the economy by spending in it.

Does Swipey AI remember you between sessions?

Memory that survives between sessions is documented, held separately for each conversation, and said to cover your name, what you like and moments you have already shared. In my fortnight that was accurate inside a session and partly accurate across days: two of three planted facts came back unprompted on day 14, and a long roleplay drifted. There is no notes panel to pin a fact down, so repetition is your only tool. Memory scores 3.0 out of 5, which is respectable rather than remarkable.

Is there a Swipey AI app?

No, and that is deliberate rather than an oversight. Swipey AI runs in a browser on a desktop, on iOS and on Android, and the help centre suggests adding it to your home screen so it opens in one tap. Nothing exists in the App Store or on Google Play. There is one quiet advantage to that: nothing is installed on your phone and nothing appears in a purchase history, so your subscription lives with the site and cancels from your own settings rather than through a store.

Is Swipey AI safe and private?

Better than the category average in some ways and worse in one. In its favour: a real named company inside European data-protection law, email-only sign-up with no password, a neutral billing descriptor, a self-serve delete button that the help centre says removes chats, media and memories, and a promise to answer erasure requests within a month. Against it: the privacy policy lists your conversation histories among the data it keeps, keeps it for around six years after you close your account, says nothing about whether chats train models, and the recurring complaint in its one-star reviews is money. Privacy scores 3.0 out of 5.

What are the best Swipey AI alternatives?

It depends which part drew you in. If it was the feed and the visuals, Candy AI is the better-looking platform and prints what every extra costs. If you want to be remembered rather than entertained, Nomi AI charges one flat monthly figure with nothing metered and has the strongest day-14 recall I have tested. If the $7.99 was the appeal, SpicyChat starts lower with a free tier you can actually judge, and Nastia AI lets you build the companion and still see the whole price list in advance.

The verdict: is Swipey AI worth it?

Swipey AI scores 3.1 out of 5. The discovery experience is the best in the category and I would not take that away from it; the pictures stay on-model better than most rivals manage; sign-up is anonymous and cancellation is honest; and the help centre tells you more truth about the business than the marketing does. Against that: conversation takes 3.0 because it never deepened over a fortnight, memory takes 3.0 because two of three facts survived and nothing lets you fix the third, pricing takes 2.5 because a free tier that cannot test the product is not a trial and the headline features sit behind an unpublished meter, and privacy takes 3.0 because a real company with a real delete button still intends to keep your conversations for about six years after you have gone.

Who should get it: the reader who wants a feed, enjoys moving between companions, and will treat $7.99 as the whole bill rather than the deposit. Take one month, buy nothing else, and let a Wednesday evening decide. Who should not: anyone who wants one companion who knows her, anyone who needs voice as a daily feature rather than an occasional treat, and anyone who has to try before paying. For all three the alternatives above are the better answer, and I would rather you went there than funded a balance to find out.

Not sure this one is your match?
